Motion 3.1 Velocity vs. Time Graphs

Velocity vs. Time graphs shows the velocity at a certain time. A positive slope shows a positive acceleration and a negative slope shows a negative acceleration. A slope of zero shows constant velocity. If the line is in Quadrant IV it is moving in a negative direction and if the line is in Quadrant I it is moving in a positive direction. If the line is moving toward 0, it is slowing down. If the line is moving away 0, it is speeding up.
